The Basic Training Uniform (BTU) T-Shirt is an entry level into the SEVEN LAYER system, designed to introduce customers to the brand through high-quality, non-technical lifestyle and sportswear. It represents the first step in the SEVEN LAYER recruitment process.The BTU line—also referred to as “7L BASICS”—includes a wide range of non-technical garments from LAYER 1 through LAYER 7. These pieces include (but aren’t limited to) lightweight down jackets, water-resistant rain shells, nylon windbreakers, hoodies, sweaters, sweatpants, t-shirts, shorts, and socks.While the BTU collection is made with the same high standards of manufacturing and premium materials as SEVEN LAYER's technical apparel, it’s primarily geared toward everyday wear. The focus is on comfort, aesthetics, and lifestyle appeal, rather than performance. As such, BTU garments may not include advanced features like weatherproofing or breathability, which are found in the brand’s ATU (Advanced Training Uniform) system designed for technical activities such as trekking or mountaineering.
