“You want to wake up in the morning and think the future is going to be great – and that’s what being a spacefaring civilization is all about. It’s about believing in the future and thinking that the future will be better than the past. And I can’t think of anything more exciting than going out there and being among the stars.”
-Elon Musk
MISSION BACKGROUND
Contracted to safely escort a group of scientists and engineers (from various global enterprises) the 7L explorers have been briefed they are going to Mars, though, they have been assigned to carry out a splinter mission codenamed Mission_016.

The extent of the MISSION_016 at this stage is top secret. All the explorers know is that they are transporting some American scientists who are carrying out topographical surveys and scientific research for future mining. “Mining” says Nish “What the hell are we mining for?”.
Squadron consists of 2 x scientists, 2 x engineers, 4 x 7L explorer’s, 1 x pilot.
More of the mission will be briefed as we get closer to the launch date which is November 2022.
Origin, Specification & Manufacture (OS&M)
The MISSION_016 base layer T-Shirts are hand made right here in the North West of England using a “Super Cotton” which is a long staple luxury cotton from Rogan Pastoral Farm, Queensland, Australia. The cotton is grown under the worlds most sustainable and ethical practices, which form the benchmark for the Australian Ethical Cotton growing standards.
Following the delivery of yarn from Australia it is spun in a local Manchester Cotton Mill (Tower Mill, Dukinfield) by English Fine Cottons, then sent to Leicester for knitting and dying. Upon its return to Tower Mill (EFC) the knitted cotton is then cut to size and stitched together by hand, forming our staple 7L Base Layer T-shirt.
This base layer is not to be used as a Technical Warming or Wicking Base Layer. It should be used only on BASECAMP and whilst on Earth only. It can be used as a training top or as lounge wear.
CLEANING AND CARE
