Our new lightweight and durable 3L Waterproof Outer (WPO) is manufactured from 100% Japanese recycled polyester and a recycled hydrophilic monolithic membrane. The outer fabric specification includes a non-fluorinated durable water repellant finish (environmentally friendly) with a hydrostatic head of 20,000mm waterproofness and a Moisture Vapour Transmission rate of 20,000g per metre squared every 24 hours. 

We say a garment is not fully waterproof unless it is seam taped on the inside. Seam taping enhances the waterproof protection as conventional needle stitching leaves tiny holes through which water can seep when worn in wet conditions. Our WPO comes fully bonded and seam taped with YKK Aquaguard® water resistant matt film reverse coil zips. 

Internal zips allow for true modular layering as our Modular Down Outer (Layer 7) link zips directly inside the WPO turning it into a waterproof down jacket!  

Ordering The Correct Size Garment

It can be tricky shopping for clothes on the internet and ordering the correct sized item. For you the customer, it’s important to get this right, it saves the frustration of having to return garments that don’t fit. We’ve found the most accurate and effective way to get the perfect size garment is to do a pit to pit measurement.

Pit To Pit Measurements 

Take your favourite garment, one that is the fit you are looking to replicate. Lay the garment out flat and measure from just below the armpit on one side across the chest to the other armpit. It’s important to lay the garment flat and fully extended while not unnaturally stretching the item while measuring. This gives you the pit to pit measurement.

Remember to take an inch off each side (approx) for your body measurement. Obviously this all depends on the design and style of the garment so is just a guide.
